DIAGNOSTIC PLAYBOOK
Verify an email fix with a fresh end-to-end test
A successful configuration save is not the final verification of an email fix. Confirm the public state and the behavior of a new message sent through the affected path.

How to investigate
- Repeat the exact DNS or endpoint check that originally failed and save the result time.
- Generate a new representative message and inspect the receiving system's outcome.
- Watch later reports or queue results for the affected stream before closing the incident.
What this looks like
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE
The new DKIM key resolves, but the application still signs with the previous selector. A fresh message test reveals that the fix was only partially applied.
A mistake to avoid
Rechecking an old signed message does not always test the updated sender configuration. Use new traffic and retain the original evidence separately.
Keep the result in context
A monitoring routine needs an owner, a baseline and a response to a meaningful change. Keep the sender inventory and approved DNS configuration alongside incident notes. HealthCheck Email supplies checks, history and supported alerts; publishing DNS changes and administering mail systems remain with your team.
Take the next step
Use the related check to gather evidence, then compare it with the affected message or service. Keep the result and time with your notes so a later change can be distinguished from the original problem.
